How I plan to use Vaal Orbs

Step one, take white map chisel 4 times.
Step two, alch
Step three, chaos (optional)
Step four, vaal orb
Step five, PROFIT!?!?!

To be honest I see very little use outside of this thats worth the risk considering you'd have to roll an item to desired stats, link to desired level, quality it, then lastly Vaal Orb it and give it +1 mana on kill implicit mod that is unchangeable forever and make your lovely GG item unmirrorable -- (its implied multiple times you wont be able to use currency on an item once its corrupted, taking a lead and assuming this also means no mirrors.)

It MAY just MAY be worth it on unique items that can have at a max 4links.

Confirmed as possible.

I'll probably dump them on these as well.

Ok or these yes.
Let's face it, "corrupted" is not actually a desirable characteristic in something, is it?
Unless you'ra a mafia boss.
There are going to be a lot of bad mods dished out. Knowing RNG well, I would say 95% of the time, Vaal Orbs will dish out "+1 mana on kill" or something along those lines.
Enjoy..... NOT
I'd use it on jewelry and some uniques too. Tabula Rasa springs to mind as a pretty good candidate since you'll never need to change socket colors.

No chroming really, really sucks for its usability.
Read my book! The world ending in every way anyone ever thought it might end, all at once. First few chapters are available online for free.
