What does the Desecrated Ground do now? Info from Wiki seems outdated.

Desecrated Ground is a ground effect that deals chaos damage to your enemies.
The only possibility so far to generate Desecrated Ground is by wearing Lightbane Raiment.
The opposite of Desecrated Ground is Consecrated Ground which provides life regen to your allies.

It no longer has the degen effect like it used to.
Does it do the same thing as Desecrate (spell) does?



If yes, what level Desecrate is it (what is the base chaos damage for the degen, what level are the corpses)?

Anyone has the information?

Would like to revive that one since it's an interesting question!

Just tested it for lulz. It's not similar to desecrate in that it doesn't create usable corpses for you to raise zombies/detonate/etc. It does apply a chaos damage debuff, but the damage itself is abysmal... barely scratches a2merci blood monkeys, so yeah.

was hoping it's more useful than that :P or at least that it's scalable, but it looks like it's pointless thing to have

I believe it was once fairly useful as it dealt a percentage of the targets hp as chaos damage, I think it was 1% of max life per second. Pretty good against tanky enemies. But as all sources of "X% of targets health as Y damage per second" has since been removed it's now just a weak dot as mentioned. It has no real use anymore.

It also used to look incredibly cool. That's also gone now :(
