Help!! All of a sudden i cant use the rare armor and weapon that ive already been using

I am a witch, I got a rare (gold) wand and used it for a long time, then i had armor (gold) same deal there, and i had very rare (maroon or something) shoes and they have been on my feet forever. Now I start the game and it tells me i cant use those items cuz I dont have enough strength and lacking 35 strenght. ive had those items equipped for like 4 days now..what is going on help me!!!

Either the items themselves, or a skill gem in them needs more strength than you have. Chances are you had strength on another piece of gear and switched that one out, and now you no longer have enough strength.

Armor and shoes might be needing a strength requirement whereas the wand is probably a spell totem or life leech that needs strength. Switched out a belt or maybe a passive with +str most likely.

Put on amulet that gives you 35+ str, equip armour, take off amulet, enjoy. |

" Atleast it worked some time ago, I know cos I had to find some rings/amus from vendor after I took one item off, because it equipped itself. I think I had more than 2 items with stats.. so I think the amulet with stats equipped first item, then that equipped second item, take amulet off and I could still use the items. You can somewhat bypass stat requirement IF and only if the item in question itself can cover up the requirement by itself.
Let's say you need 50 Dex for a chest that has on it +10dex, and you only have 40 Dex. Equipping a +10dex amulet let's you equip the chest. Removing the amulet will keep you at 50 Dex because of the chest and you can still use it. I think that is what the poster a little bit up means. As to the OP, since its 2 items and not 1, I think you just removed a jewelry with +str on it as others have pointed out. |
