Rerolling Sockets

I obviously want way more sockets in my staff, but rerolls are kinda hard to come by. What can I do to get the best chance at getting 6 sockets on this staff?

have you did /itemlevel ? if its under lvl 47 there is no way to have 6 sockets. the msot viable way is to have 1000 jewelers orbs.

I see. I'll do that. It's probably not Ilvl 47, as I traded for it from a guy who was level 31.

Maybe this would make a good orb idea: something that increases the item level of a rare or unique.

EDIT: Item level is 17. How many sockets can I get with that?

If it's on the wiki, it's not where you would probably expect it to be. I have some time between classes, I'll see if I can edit it in now.
