Monster Metadata error
I keep getting "Metadata/Monsters/Spiders/SpiderSmall@17": Decoded no data
Above errors are from base class:Audio/Sound Effects/MonsterSounds/Spiders/Emerge_04.ogg I've reinstalled several times and even tried between the launcher and via steam. I keep getting the same error and then the game crashes when trying to enter the den. |

Then add -swa to the "Launch Options" for Path of Exile.
Edit: My apologies.. I didn't see the Steam part in the initial post. You should also verify the cache/installation of Path of Exile through Steam just to make sure there is no corruption (in addition to the launch option above). Last edited by Drakier#1520 on Feb 17, 2014, 1:00:46 PM

Care to elaborate what exactly -swa does? Last edited by hoeflinga#5403 on Feb 17, 2014, 4:20:50 PM

enables Software Audio rather than letting the Creative hardware handle it all.
There are issues with the Creative audio cards due to Vorbis OGG (new format not quite supported properly by he Creative folks). Enabling software audio does the audio rendering on the CPU but processes it more accurately and without crashing. |
