Is it possible to add gem sockets to items?

say my weapon has 3 sockets and i want to add another socket, is it possible? if so how?

I believe 'Jeweler's Orb' is what you're looking for.

it is possible with jeweller's orb, but you can get less sockets as it reforges the item with a random number of sockets

Or do the short way and trade you some for the mats youve already achived.
