clarity + increased aura efficiency = ??

so i have clarity and it had 13.3 mana regen per second, then i skilled the 18% increased efficiency node, and nothing changed?...

Is this bugged or does it have no effect on clarity or what is the explanation?

Could that be 18% added to the radius? In for response.

Were you looking at your Clarity gem or your characters mana regeneration rate?

Did you recast Clarity after speccing into that node?

Also, it changes in the character panel, not on the tooltip.

My clarity had 13.3 mana regen before i specced into the 18% node (right side of witch between shadow and witch)

I re casted it and nothing changed. (it remained 13.3 after i took the node + recast)

My tooltip mana regeneration was 66 prior to 18% increase node and also after i took it.

In other words 18% increase had absolutely no verifiable effect on clarity.

Can anybody please explain to me if it should or not? And if so, why i am not seeing any changes in my character screen.

I was hoping to take the 18% to run a 1 lvl higher Arctic armor, sadly i cant now and its a wasted point sort of.

(i have around 140% mana regen increase so even a 0.5 increase would yield some form of result in my character sheet?)

I am still running wrath so i will keep it for that buff and i will check this once the race has ended :D.

But i checked the data before i specced into it vipermagi.

Clarity gem listed = 13.4 after i specced into the node = 13.4

character screen mana regeneration = 66 per second before the node and 66 per second after.

Another funny thing to note is that i have atm 78 mana regen (i leveld a bit further before i made that assesment) in my character screen and yet my arctic armor that consumes 75.4 per second drains my mana (no + buffs% other then aura increase%)

How can that be? i out-regen AA by 3 mana per sec, yet it drains my mana while i run.
(and its 75.4 for AA while moving :'), not standing still lelz)

I think you didn't add both of the drains together to get the total drain while moving (also there is no gem level that adds up to 75.4). The moving drain is additional, it doesn't replace the stationary drain.

Its level 8 and it is in fact 75.8 :D i was making that post in gut feeling so i was off with the number a tiny bit.

But i did not know the movement drain was additional to the stationary drain that explains that problem i have now :D thx a bunch Ezhiel.

Still leaves the question why 18% efficiency has 0 effect on my character sheet mana regen :'(, maybe the value is just to low? I just cant figure it out and was a bit disappointed :E.

You may not have meant to say this, but the way you say it leads me to question it. You say "Clarity gem listed". The tooltip on the gem will not change with aura effect nodes.

I know Aura Effect nodes work with Clarity. Can you link your tree? How many aura effect nodes do you have. I know at least that you have the 8% one before the 18% one. The more you have, the less you'll notice it.

From what I know (if those are the only aura nodes you have), before taking that node clarity was giving you 13.4 * 1.08 =14.5 (if rounded up) mana per second. After taking Influence, it would be 13.4 * 1.26 = 16.9 (if rounded up) mana per second. These numbers are increased by any mana regen increases you have.

But I know this works, so I wonder if you might be mistaken in when you looked at your numbers. What is your mana regen with and without clarity on?
