AoE range visualization

Hi!

Is there a visualization like this for Path of Exile?

It would be very helpful. If there is no such thing than GGG please make one!
How would that do you any good when nothing in the game shows a range on it?
Well I would like to know how far my Cleave will hit if I take those 2x 4% AoE range nodes after blast radius for example.

I think it is actually important to know how far your skill "reaches".
For Ice Nova, I took a screenshot of me using the skill (so the full animation was being performed) then calculated the radius based on nearby terrain objects/enemies - then I took some increased AoE nodes and did the same thing to see how far out it goes.

Same thing could be done for Cleave - just make sure you have a few respec points if you don't like the result (or use an increased AoE support gem to test it)

I thought of this myself. Easy to do. The reason why I brought this up is that I consider this something more people will find interesting (like yourself, too). It is pretty basic game mechanism and I don't think it would cost GGG much to provide us a few pics.

Nah, let us figure it out ourselves if we're so inclined ^.^

Theorycrafting is an integral part to build success, so we need to take the time to measure things that we think will be useful for us.

(alternatively, someone will probably make a detailed forum post regarding things like this at some point - I just can't be bothered to do it right now (waiting in a massive queue and reading a book))

Sure, but it doesn't say "range: 5 yds" on any skill, so knowing what 5 yds looks like wont do you any good. They have to add range numbers to skills first.
Bah, then I need to go back to normal to kill that Necro for the respec point. :D

At least I have a reason to do that quest :)
