I'm just curious, I wanted to base my caster without investing a single point into max %hp, go Chaos Inoculation and boost my survivability(Energy Shield I bet?) the most.
What types of passives, traits, skills and item affixes should I be looking for if I'm investing into such Keystone passive? I also accept other tips as well.

First of all you won't get around life passives, even when you are aiming for CI you need them to survive early game.
CI after the nerfs isn't viable before I'd say something around lvl 50 before that you lack the passives and the gear to make CI viable.
And well stack ES, thats all you need.

I have made the new CI work on normal. took it around level 21. You need to get alot of ES and full ES armour.

Granted I wouldn't take it this soon on a melee character but on a caster I it works so far. I'm seeing if it is possible, and so far it is, was able to kill oak with this build and did better then someone with a life build. I will post again once I progress further.

The %reduction number is only an estimate and it's completely worthless against very high damage attacks. In fact, armor does very little to mitigate them. Armor is really only good against lots of smaller attacks.
