No, you did not get muted for simply saying that. The mods here are much more relaxed than in any other game. So long as you are swearing, attacking, or just generally being a douchebag they let almost anything go.
Hell in some cases they let trolling and douchebaggery go way to far. |

Please PM a moderator if you'd like details as to why you were muted.
Making public threads about it are far less direct or helpful, and often detrimental. And yes, there are times when a mute is revoked for being too extreme or a misunderstanding. I don't recall signing away my humanity or right to make and own/fix my mistakes when I put on this surprisingly uncomfortable moderator hat. :) If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
