Monitor stops functioning - 'No Signal'
Every now and then when I play PoE my monitor simply loses the connection to my PC, as if my PC has been turned off. Everything else still works, and the only solution I have right now is to reboot my computer. This only happens with PoE. I play in windowed mode and my system is a Windows 7 desktop with a 6850 graphics card.
Anyone know anything about this? |

You are not alone :)
Guess it's the same overheating problem as others have. Last edited by Pyroboom#5315 on Jan 27, 2013, 8:19:13 AM

Pyro, check your GPU temp while running POE. The game is overheating some graphics cards.

So this is a known issue? Where can I see a list of affected cards? No fix available, I suppose?

Nvidia 8600gt here, 80C peak here, with open case. Not 100, like some people experince here, but seems enough. Waiting for some fixes then.

You can solve overheating problems by using software to limit your maximum fps. Example dxtory.
Yllä lohduton taivas, alla hylätty maa. Yksin yöstä kurkotan valoon, vielä huudan: päästäkää minut!

Hm, my fps is at a steady 60. Don't really want to lower it. Guess we'll just have to wait for some kind of patch. As long as the devs are aware of this!

The problem i guess is in mob/player models - i get a guarantee crash after the walk through the cleared, full of dead bodies, lunaris temple lvl 3.

I get the same thing with my GT 440.
Please help us on this as I am getting addicted to this game already. |
