u can do the same with vaal, i dont exactly remember at what level of the pyramid the "sub-instance" u can reset begins, should be one or two levels before the boss room

I'm probably just getting lucky then. I can do cruel now but they are slow so I haven't done enough runs to come to a conclusion yet.

That explains why Merveil didn't respawn when I waited 20 minutes in the Cavern of Anger.

Why? There really isn't anything special about what we are doing with this and it isn't offering a huge advantage to players. The only good thing about this so far, is that I found two good uniques for my marauder and he facerolled normal mode.

Lol yeah, Cavern of Anger and Merveil's room are connected, hence why you can't just exit the room after killing her and ctrl+click the entrance to respawn her. THAT would be abuse.

Perhaps you should focus more on IIQ instead of IIR.
Suppose the average unboosted rate is 1 non-white item per 100 items, 12Q + 78R would be a 78% increase in the chance of 1 of the 112 items being non-white. However, 78Q + 12R would be a 12% increase in the chance of 1 of the 178 items being non-white.
