Post your tip for a new Templar Player?

Having a blast with the game, but I notice, the melee Characters gets more damage in the battles compared with the other characters.

Any tip and recommendations with the Templar character, what skill should I upgrade, what should I not upgrade?

make a choice of your weapon type (1h or 2h) and spec that way, also make a choice if u wanna focus on physical or elemental damage and spec that way. try to get as much hp as u can.
