How I get double IPD % mod ?

Hi all there. On the guide named Your crafting resource guide placed on gameplay discussion subforum, it says about 1 prefix and 1 suffix by alterations and then augmentations orb can max be applied, no more than 2. But it doesn't say that IPD it can be or not by only alteration and final getting the hybrid mod. My question is if you can achieve that by the common steps of crafting alt - aug or alt - aug - regal. TIA.

all the dmg on a weapon is a prefix as seen here: http://www.pathofexile.com/item-data/prefixmod

suffix can only be Attackspeed, crit, critmulti, pure accuracy, resists and some other stuff.

So with Alt+Aug you'll only get IPD+Attackspeed for example, the regal could then give you the IPD/Acc hybrid roll, and then you'll still need to exalt the flat-physical.

If you didn't know that in the first place I would strongly advice you against crafting a weapon that way. The odds are astronomical and if you don't get very very very good rolls out of it it's not worth it - and to get there needs an incredible amount of currency.

To get the highest mods for example you need a ilvl78 weapon, and getting the highest %IPD roll with an alteration has a chance of roughly 1 in 1500 - and thats just one, hf.
Your odds are better if you just throw some 500-1000 chaos on high ilvl weapon and see what happens.

Interesting on last comment: Chaos VS Precision crafting step by step: alt - aug - regal - ex.

So, definetly What I should to do then, cos chaos are chaos and are only one orb which i need to carft it. Alt - aug - regal are 3 orbs, so more less chance to have it.

the question is what you want in a weapon

if you want to craft the uber perfect thing you don't even have to start with chaos, but if ~180 idp, some flat dmg and attackspeed is enough than the alt-aug-regal-exalt, each with ethernal in between is just more expensive.

I'v crafted

with about 200 Chaos and wasted 9 ethernal+exalts on trying to get a ipd/acc hybrid roll... got one once, was the lowest possible...
My craft is extremly lucky, but if you don't get top ipd and ias it's still very good.
Chaos has a point in giving you a chance at getting both ipd and flat roll as prefixes, while during the "cheap" alterating-part of the other way you can only possibly get one of them.

It's all a question of how good a weapon you want, if you want perfect you have to go alt+aug+regal+exalt with ethernaling each step - you might also have to do this if all stats on the item matter - for example if you need crit and crit-multi on your weapon as well as all 3 physical mods and ias. If you want a very good one using Chaos is probably cheaper, and if a good one is enough you should probably check poe.xyz for what can be baught.

*edit*
if you want to save currency on the chaos-method, use Alch+Scour. Is a bit more of a hassle to trade for though...

I mean it's only good for extermly rich players searching the perfect item.
Richable ppl who gained by some way to after craft it. Lots of patience here. I see that it's the same cost alt / aug / regal like chaoses, and also eternal / exalted. So definitely the double IPD it's after alt and aug, and to regal. So u need to eternal it before if u got high mod IPD obviously. Now on poe mods it's not the same list name mods title, I mean not completed, cos here on prefixes it says till how much u can reach to it / max and combined.

Never craft (gambel) never ever - dont do it.

Just buy what you need.
Crafting in terms of return on investment is not worth it for anyone expect botters/rmt users

If you craft - do it for your fun but dont ask for effecitivity.
