(Need help) Eldritch Battery or Blood Magic?

I'm doing a 1h mace/shield LS templar, and I can't decide whether to go EB or Blood Magic. I have some basic pros/cons listed for each. Can anyone else provide some insight?



Eldritch Battery:
PROS - can run 8-10 auras
CONS - really far away in the skill tree (I need ~11 points to get there)

Blood Magic
PROS - survivability??? Closer on the skill tree
CONS - ???
