safer builds against reflect and desync

The new league is approaching and I'm starting to think to the builds I may try.
Until now I rolled 2 characters up to the endagame: a Lighting Arrow/Frenzy ranger and a summoner and, as probably many of you know, the latter had much less problem (if any) with reflect/thornes and desynch.
I was wondering which are other good builds that can avoid/ignore reflects (direct hit on mobs) and desync (which usually also depends on direct hits and the server detecting them).
At the moment I saw that Trapper builds may be a good candidate, is there any other good (and possibly cheap) build with similar "pros"?
Reave build with Acro, AOE damage, evasion, and block. The trick here is that if you do desync, you'll notice it in a hurry, and most things will not kill you particularly fast.
Luna's Blackguards - a guild of bronies - is now recruiting! If you're a fan of our favourite chromatic marshmallow equines, hit me up with an add or whisper, and I'll invite you!

totem builds are safe(er) and not prone to desynch so much since the totems actually aim server side i think so they still hit stuff and reflect is not an issue
its true, totem builds are completely immune to desync and reflect

but there are many ways to mitigate those two things without having to resort to a totem build

my #1 rule: keep a low crit multiplier

some of the highest damage builds in the game are crit based and if you choose not to get crit multiplier you can still do amazing damage but you don't have to worry about 1 shotting yourself due to reflect.

this is so true. You dont even need a lot of multiplier either, I hear people say oh I get 35kdps, 45k, 55k, 100k... through crit and their scaling it with mad amounts of multi, most of them instarip on reflect where builds that have 15-25k dps are still clearing fast because even that level of damage, esp aoe, will wipe out packs so quickly. Ive tried 35-45k dps against reflect through high multiplier, its absolutely lethal and Id never play that as a regular thing.

Totems, traps and summons obviously have that immunity thing, you cant beat them for avoiding this sort of trouble. Voltaxic is another route, its like spork totems where you just scale multi through the roof and dont give a crap.

Almost everything else has problems, chaos damage aside. Physical Double Strike is an awesome skill for avoiding reflect. I have 2 daggers double strikers, one dual wield life and one aegis ci. I can roll a map with phys reflect, ele reflect and vulnerability curse and then attack a phys reflect aura pack in the map with 20k dps phys crits and I barely notice it. However lightning thorns becomes an issue, and thats always the balance, find something thats reflect immune and its likely to be seriously harsh against thorns and vice versa.

Aegis is a great mechanic against desync, but really nothing beats just using a /oos marco, resync youself and deal with it like any normal fight.

I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Run of the mill, but Spectral Throw is good against reflect. It gets its damage primarily via each ST being able to hit multiple times, so it's easy to mitigate it via Armor. I have a 4k DPS STer and I don't really notice even double reflect with only 4% life leech.
Resolute Technique builds, while not as fast as a crit build, do help against both desync (from my experience) and reflect. It doesn't negate reflect completely, but because you're not critting, you're not getting huge spikes of damage and you can better deal with that via LGoH or LL. I have an Infernal Blow/Melee Splash RT Scion build that can handle elemental reflect maps, though I have to be careful not to engage too big a pack. the corpse explosions do count as damage against you for the reflect and that can kill you on big magic packs...most trash packs are ok with LL.

To handle the desync...while it isn't foolproof, I find that using the space bar as my 'hold still while attacking' button makes things much easier, especially since I run Multistrike with my IB. And since RT lets me hit 100% of the time, that helps out as well, but again, never hurts to have an /oos macro around either just in case you see yourself starting to desync.
My dominating blow character barely ever dies. Aside from the inherent defense having minions grants, there are a number of other factors that play into this as well:

Physical damage + lots of life leech (around 9% is enough for 8k pure physical dps),

Cast When Damage Taken + Immortal Call + Molten Shell set to go off at half your life. (make sure you buff its duration with gems + passives, it's not that hard to get 125% increased duration really)

Block helps a little but it's really not all that important. I get by with around 50%.

A decent amount of armor. Nothing too fancy, 16k is plenty.

At this point just about the only thing I really worry about is elemental damage, and even then I have purity of lightning to save on passives and bring my resists to 77/81/77.

Elemental reflect isn't a problem 'cause I'm only doing around 1/3rd of my damage as elemental.

Physical reflect isn't all that big a problem either, thanks to Immortal Call. I can rush into phys reflect maps and the only thing I really have to be careful about is elemental damage spikes that could hit me while my life is low after an IC trigger.

Nothing is better against desync & reflect, than Aegis of Aurora.
