Eva vs Armour Question (I'm newish)

Is there any difference between armor and evasion on an armor piece if you have both Unwavering Stance (cannot evade or be stunned) and Iron Reflexes (eva becomes armour)?

My thought was no but someone said in-game that there WAS a difference and that I should focus on armor vs evasion or hybrid pieces of gear. My thought is it's cheaper to buy hybrid pieces of gear (less demand) vs the pure versions....a 5l 1500 eva body armor is far more expensive then a 750/750 eva/armor hybrid.

Just curious if I'm missing a mechanic here or not before I spend a small fortune (to a poor newbie lol) on 5L body armor. Thank you.

Well, I think technically there is no difference, but the reason why pure Eva gear is so expensive is that you have a choice of not going IR in the future. I haven't played an IR build in ages so I can't remember the numbers off the top of my head.

So basically it's a more solid option if the build changes/gets moved around in the the future? I mean if there is no difference with IR activated and no mechanical difference then that is all I really need.

My real issue is what I can afford, I can get a hybrid 1500+ defense/eva (combined) armor for 15c-1ex or a 1500 EVA for 3-4ex. I'm just trying to decide if it's actually worth saving up to that point or not being as I'm just starting, those extra 2-3ex could go into more gear, you know what I mean?
I think the differences lies in the % amount.
"increased armour/evasion by x%" would mean that e.g. armour would be better if you would have more % armour than increased % evasion, right?
That would basically mean that higher basestats are superior in comparison to hybrid stats in terms of only having skillpoints in either increased % armour OR Evasion.

That's atleast what Im thinking, not sure if this is the main reason why pure EVA is more expensive.

If you have any +X% increased evasion rating nodes, you'll only get that bonus on evasion gear. So if you had +25% evasion rating, the 750/750 piece gives you 750*1.25 + 750 = 1687.5 armor. The 1500 piece gives you 1500*1.25 = 1875 armor.

Note this is only true for pure evasion nodes. Nodes that give % increased evasion and armor will have the same effect on hybrid gear as it will on pure evasion gear.
I see....well only % I have is based off frenzy charges so I guess I need to stick with Evade. Thank you all for the knowledge and for pointing me in the right direction.

*edit*
One last question what is the value of say a 5L 1800-2000 EVA armor with the only truly good stat is having 40-60 life?

If the witches watching watches watch the same watch while you watch which witch watches which watch, they switch watches; then, the watch switching witches watch which watch you watch.
