Guilds, brotherhoods, headquarters
What do you think about creating guilds and brotherhoods? This would be a place when players could leave some of their items and meet there in person.
The guild's location's limit of people would be greatly improved from that of a normal instance, but there would be no mosters to fight, just like in towns. It could be a castle or stronghold. People could buy stuff for their headquarters, like furniture or storage space, using microtransactions, to make it look better and be more functional. There are a lot of things players would like to do with their own piece of land - everybody wants to have land, don't they :P :) I'm waiting for your opinion on that idea. That would actually be pretty cool, a clan headquarters where only clan members could meet. Maybe make it a store purchase though ;0

There was a thread similar to this a while back and what it kind of came down to was that some felt that having a shared stash available to the guild/brotherhood/whatever it ends up being called wouldn't be classified as an ethical microtransaction (since the guild was able to buy something that would give them an edge over everyone else). The debate went back and forth and I'm not sure if a consensus was ever reached.
While it does sound like it could be really cool, as tormenta said, it would probably require a bit of work to implement. In since 0.8.0

So let's start from something simple
- Campfire - it's a place where people could meet - no shared stash just a stash for every player (small one for couple of items) - microtransaction would grant only some new visual effects (like a tent or better looking fire, some food laying araund...) |

I think it would be cool if each town in each act had slots for three clans. Each clan can only own one of these spots in one of the act towns and they can decorate it and use it as a home base. The clans slots in the later acts will be more desirable for prestige if nothing else but having a clan slot at all is preferable to not. Regular competitions of some sort would be held for clans to compete between each other to own one of these slots.
I think this would be a really fun feature for clans. Battling over the best clan halls gives them prestige and a separate aspect of the game while not giving them unfair advantages. It also discourages thousands of crap clans being formed while supporting the most legitimate ones with a strong in game clan hall system. All players in that particular act town will be able to prominently see which clans own which halls. Forum Sheriff
