reduce maximum fps

I support the idea of allowing users to cap FPS. Why? Well, on a laptop it would actually help to conserve battery to be able to cap the FPS to only 30. It also reduces the temperature of the system if the GPU/CPU ain't working at 100%.
For now I use an unregistered version of Bandicam to cap my FPS to 40. That keeps my GPU below 70°C else I get a whiny fan and up to 81°C for not a lot more FPS. I could disable shadows but I really like them and 40 is just enough to be playable for me. Having this as an option in the game would be nice.
... is not a troll

Dont be fucking lazy and use dxtory, precisionx or the other plethora of programs that can use this.

If you aren't willing to even google for programs that can do this, you don't deserve to be listened to.

You might wish to work on the amount of effort you put into doing something before trying to get the devs to hardcode it into their game.

I google dxtory and, well, it seems to be some sort of a video recording tool, so I don't understand how it's relevant here. And Precision X is seemingly a generic GPU fine-tuning tool for NVIDIA - cards -- it rules out Intel and AMD solutions.
I dont play on Vsync because the game feels much smoother on +80fps than on 60 fps. Simply try to turn on vsynch in areas that you can get like 100 fps and compare it to 60, the difference is substantial.

And i feel it on 75Hz, the difference will be even bigger on higher rates (like 120hz monitors).

My comment was directed to "turn on vsync" discussion ;)

Don't be lazy, open the program and search. This is nobody elses fault. There is a framelimiter in it.

Vsync isnt a 60fps cap, if you're using a 75Hz monitor vsync will cap your fps at 75.

I personally run my monitor at 66Hz and vsync caps everything at 66fps

Why do you keep trying to attack and insult others? Are you so insecure, do you believe that it'll somehow make you look a more credible a person? Is it because it makes you feel stronger, like a real man of the world, a conqueror?

I'm just wondering.

It's not insulting, it's pointing out something that he needs to realize: If he is not willing to put in any effort whatsoever, why should he expect help? Calling somebody who is lazy lazy is not an attack.
