How to meet your friends in game?

My friend and I created a Party and could see each other in town (lion's eye). We then cleared the Coast together whilst we could see each other without any problems. We went back to town, then back to coast, then to Tidal Island without problems but when we entered the Mud Flats we could not see each other anymore. How come?

" It's possible that each of you created a different instance of the area. If you hold the Ctrl key while clicking an area transition or waypoint icon on the world map, you will see the instance management screen. From there, you can specifically choose to get to the same instance your friend is in. (Or create a new instance if you want to reset the area!) Additionally, make sure that both of you have done all the necessary quests to enter the area. You don't need to do any quests to get into the Mud Flats, but this might be an issue for you later. You can't just have one person run way ahead and then drop a portal for the other to join, as in, for example, Diablo II. Both of you have to go through all the required quests. |
