Cannot Kill General Gravicious in ACT 3

On the contrary, this is the difference between good and bad players in this game. You don't stare down a fire-based boss with 0% fire res and expect to one-shot him. You must be playing the wrong game if you think otherwise. This wasn't designed to be an easy game, you actually have to use your brain if you want to get somewhere or minmax anything. Please, get the thought of face-rolling out of your mind.

I wasn't aware ranged was somehow immune to his Firestorm either. My mistake. PS, solo'd Gravicius on a 31 Shadow with Dual Claws and 400 HP. Before that it was a Dagger/shield Witch with equivalent HP. Then a 2h sword Duelist with 700 HP and Blood Magic.

Such a difficult game.
If you're reading this, I'm probably on another year-long ban.
Thanks GGG.

Funny, my shadow is the exact same build as yours, and I had zero issues killing Gravicius. 75% fire resist and two full health flasks is all you need to facetank him to death.

It's great design is what it is. Ranged classes have to kite and dodge for a long time to kill hard stuff, and that's interesting play. What isn't interesting is certain ARPGs where melee classes can just facetank everything in the game without having to put any thought into it, and I'm glad you can't do that in this game unless you specifically tailor your gear for that encounter.

I have to agree. I am able to face tank him yes but that's only because I have GV, a lot of life leech, 75% fire res and to top it all off arctic armor. I am specifically strong against fire types. so he is very easy for me. I'm on cruel difficulty, but when I faced him the first time on normal difficulty I didn't have arctic armor or anywhere near as much life leech. I had to get 75% fire res. and kite all day with spectral throw and I still died countless times against him. I think the game is created amazingly.

In conclusion, if you want to face tank him then you'll need not only high fire res. and decent health or energy shield, but you'll also need some other bit of tankyness like magic res. (I think that's in the game somewhere) or an ability like arctic armor (which is god like against him). the fire res. and decent health or energy shield is almost mandatory against (he's a boss for god's sakes) but unless you want to kite and use a lot of skill against him, you'll need some more help to just lazily face tank him.

it's also worth mentioning that the loot is pathetic.

No its not.

Max your Fire res - its a fire based boss and dont hit him with attacks that he is resistant for (if he is resistant to lightning LS is bad idea - it will take long time to kill him).
Also he have very nasty Molten Shidl - meele is also not preferred here.

Also.. he is a BOSS - he SHOULD 2-3 shots you just click more and move when he casts hes spells.

Also... if his Energy Shield is a problem - use CHAOS DAMAGE (viper strike) - this skill bypasses Energy Shield.

'gamers' nowadays.
/pffffff...

And... its an online game - you can do him with friend.

Threads liek this should be insta deleted for beta FEEDBACK forum.
I cant play new game its not good feedback. Just learn the game and dont cry.

Whoa, did you take your pills yet?
Seriously a thread about Gravicious being too strong?

What's next,Merveil OP?Adjust your gear to enemies you fight with, especially if it is boss who uses mostly one type of damage, adjusting isn't hard.Yes,he has quite some damage, but he is a boss. His energy shield is like 80% of his total endurance,if you manage to get rid of that, you almost won.OP,you have Lightning Strike, which is ranged attack with quite fast animation, what makes avoiding his attacks and counterattacking easy, use that to your advantage.
If you are having that much trouble with Gravicious,I don't want to see your fight with Dominus,or even Caliga The Imperatrix.
You even said that you need fire resitance against him, then why you refuse to adapt and temporarily use some fire res gear?Flasks are here to help you mitigate damage you take, without clever flask usage some bossess would be impossible on first character, for example Museum map boss.
