New Orb -> Orb of Mastery

Hi,

I got the idea of a new Orb. This particular Orb should be able to change the colour of the gem it is used for. (Not necessarly need to be changed forever, like it would keep its original colour but the gem itself pretends like it has a new colour) Tho the idea is, that it can roll every colour of the three existing ones.

The idea behind that is, that some of you guys probably know, that if you try to get like 5 or even 6 off colours on an item, is very, very hard (or it can be, at least).

The Chromatic Orbs will not lose their worth, since I got the idea how this could be managed.

- To roll 1-4 off colours is not so hard(ofc, sometimes that can be hard too). So, for most of the time, you will not use this new Orb, since it will be used only for the really hard ones (5 or 6 socket/linked items). That means the Chromatic Orb will definitely not be replaced by this Orb and I'll give you an other reason for that.

- The new Orb should be valued between like Divine and Exalted or even between Exalted and Eternal. The rarity of this Orb should be defined as very rare, you'll find one once in a week or once in a month depending on RNG/your luck of course. But I guess you get my point.

- A downside for this Orb could be, that it randomly changes the colour of the gem (here an alternate could be that it just changes the colour of a particular socket instead of the gem..doesn't really matter) so for instance it could roll the colour "red" like two or three times in a row although if that's handled like that there should be some kind of a limit, else it could end up to be very expensive aswell. But I like the idea of the new Orb changing the Gems coulour, since there is only Gemcutter's Prism that changes something (the quality) of a gem so far. Like every other Orb individually changes something on a item.

I gave it the name "Orb of Mastery". Don't ask me why, it was the first thing I had in my mind ;) It somehow fits, it somehow is special, that's what it should be.

It will not be so cheap, most likely you will have to buy this Orb cause of its rarity, but it probably will be exciting to use it for the management of your "colour changing".

Hi,

this seems to be really good idea. Maybe you should add if the strenght gem changing to intelect gem it should keep the "red" colour in background or something.

Another idea is probably when changing from strenght to intelect gem that requirements change.
For example:

red: lvl 12 gem requires 112 strenght
converts into:
blue: lvl 12 gem requires 112 intelect

I think this would have great impact on the builds like witch could have alot of intelect and 0 strenght but can build like infernal blow build.

This really looks nice and I support this fully. If this gets released I am back to poe 24/7 again :)

POE 2 got serious performance issues. And so far the devs don't do anything about it or can't do anything about it. Either way it is very bad!

This makes so much more sense than having a higher chance to roll off-coloured sockets on gear.

+1, I can imagine a vendor recipe being 20 chromatics.
good idea !!! Keep thinking Keep dropn iedas like that
