whirling blades and multistrike

I tried to modify whirling blades with multistrike, and it didn't work. Sorry if this has been dealt with and I'm not aware.

Note: melee splash doesn't work with whirling blades either.

Melee splash wouldn't work on whirling blades as whirling blades isn't a single target skill which melee splash specifically defines needing to work.

And while i would have thought that whirling blades and multi strike would work it again states that it works with supported attacks and whirling blades is obviously not supported

Ok, thanks. I definitely understand the problem with melee splash and whirling blades. I'm still not sure why multistrike doesn't work, but if it's intended, it's intended. Thanks a lot for your response!

when i checked it the icon that would indicate linked supports on the tool tips was missing which leads me to believe that its not one of the supported skills

I think Ive read somewhere that multistrike does not work because It causes insane amount of desync with this skill
