Animate guardian changes

I have a leveled version of animate guardian on my level 43 nemesis Templar. I like the skill but two things need to change for me to love it.

1. When you have a summon active with a 1h weapon and a shield. If you activate another 1h weapon the game should replace the guardians weapon and not the shield. Since the guardian only uses default attack; switching from 1h+shield to dual wield reduce block chance by +9% while increasing DPS by 0.00

2. Allow summoning of unidentified magic items. When you build a guardian out of white items it is very squishy but it is convenient. To build out of magic you have to....
a. pick up the item
b. open your inventory
c. Right click an ID scroll
d. click on the item
e. drop item onto the ground
f. cast skill
6 steps to use this on a magic item is too much. I have found that re-summoning new drops is a good strategy to keep the guardian alive. The 6 steps above prevent me from creating a magic guardian.
I would not want the skill to work on unidentified rares.

i hope youve read Animate Guardian thread from skill fedback section. AG is not viable end-game nor mid-game. not at all. so if you count on it/plan for it - stop. it wont work. many tried and all've failed

my lvl80+summoner with full-minion tree and good summoner gear wasnt able to keep this 'guardian' alive for longer than 10-20seconds. it simply does not work at this time. skill needs complete overhaul.

I know about the limitation of the skill. It was a drop that I'm keeping leveled up in case it gets a buff.

I could see animate guardian - multi strike - life gain on hit being viable.

If we are talking about an overhaul of the skill. Then on top of what I suggested
1. Add additional guardian HP based upon casters total HP
2. Add a way to suspend the guardian for boss fights. Give it a 5 min cool down to prevent abuse
3. Create a hierarchy for animated items. White can replace white. Magic can replace white. Yellow can replace Magic. Unique can replace Rare. If you already have a Rare item in a slot and attempt to animate a Magic/white the item is consumed and the guardian is healed without changing the current animated.
4. Vary the amount of HP restored based upon Magic/Rare/Unique
5. Buff guardian AI. Have it run away when HP is less than 15%

I could think of others. I hope that they review it because it is a fun skill but is very underutilized.
