Help please. Which spell caster build to use ?

Hello guys,

today i started plaiyng Witch. And i have little problem i dont like summoners builds. So i wanna find some spell caster build. I wanna cast fireballs lightnings etc. But i dont know which build is best for newbie. Can you give me a tip please ?

If this is your first PoE character, I'd suggest focusing on Life or Life / ES builds and not pure ES builds. It'll make your first steps in the game easier.

id say for beginners like you and me, cold crit build is the way to go! this is also my first char and its been amazing so far here is a the guide i currently follow:

everyone played a fireball witch before. be it in diablo 1, 2 or 3 or any other diablo-like game.
and it gets rid of things like range, doorways etc.
and fireball, in the current patch, has considerably more damage than fp
