Curses the Fus Ro Dah way
I play mostly melee classes. When I get curses I find myself not using them a lot. Every time I curse mobs, it doesn’t give me a epic feeling. You put you’re hand up and some mobs get a symbol above there heads. Yesterday I was thinking. What if GGG implemented the curses a different way. That you really shout out a curse and cast it out of youre mouth in a frontal aoe (in the same way as groundslam but then bigger). Just like the fus ro dah in skyrim. This way you have to be more aware about position and have to be more tactical on how u cast it. I understand for some ranged classes this could give some problems if they have to get closer to cast them and this puts them at greater risk. This could be solved by a passive near the casters to make it the old way, or a passive for melee to make it the fus ro dah way. How ever its going to be, atleast it would be nice if the character would say a word or words when they cast a curse. For example for the (maori) maurauder to cast a “Temporal Chains” he would shout “hōtoa”, what means “slow moving” in maori. GGG could do this with each class, with each background language, what in turn would give some nice background info about the different classes and where they come from. I put this on the forum to discus about it, please be constructive, point out positive and negative effects if this would be implemented. I just hope GGG sees this and will think about it, because as mostly melee player it would feel kick ass to curse like that:D Note: English isn’t my first langue, so please save me and you’re self the time to burn me down on it. oh one thing, forgot to mention. if the mobs would cast the fus ro dah way. it would mean you have to be more tactical on how u get near certain mobs, because they could curse you in a frontal cone. instead of you just standing there and they just put there hands up and thats it, you're cursed.

Interesting idea but I'm going to go with Occum on this one and say "keep it simple". Curses don't need to feel epic. They're necessary. That's enough.

im wondering if melee players, like me, would think the "fus ro dah" way would be more in the flow of the combat. because now when i cast a curse, i feel distracted, because i need to move my mouse over to the place the most mobs are at, to curse them. if i would shout, it would be in the same position as my groundslam, there for more in my flow of combat and position. i guess a ranged player would feel the curses are fine now, for the same reasons i stated above. they have there mouse on the place they wanna damage any way, so in the flow of there combat this would be the best way?
