Reduced duration and ignites/burning damage?

I'm assuming reduced duration reduces the duration on the burn left behind on the ground by a fire-trap.

Now, if I were to throw a fire-trap inflicting an ignite.

Does the ignte retain it's full damage over shorter time or does it loose the same amount of damage applied by the reduced duration?

What i'm getting at is that I want to believe that reduced duration increases the INTENSITY of the ignite and/or burning damage inflicted by fire-traps.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this?

Intensity yes, would do 1000 damage in 50% of the time as from what I was reading on Chaos cloud also damage over time, should apply here too.

This is assuming it does not just reduce the duration of the trap itself but if it did it should really do both trap and burn.
