I belive that sockets and fusing are rolled in same way as we roll them by orbs on items. So if the chance to get 6s on item is around 1/400 and chance to get 6L is around 1/1000, you should have around 1/400000 chance to drop a 6L item everytime you drop ilvl>50 chest or 2h weapon. So the chance is low as hell, I belive it's close to dropping a mirror.
On the other hand dropping 5L is much easier, as chance to get 5s is better, as well as chance to 5L. I belive it's around 100-400 times easier. I had around 10-15 5L items dropped since OB, but 0 6L. Last edited by CookieVortex#2622 on Jan 1, 2014, 9:49:14 PM

I had my first 6S5L drop the other day, felt good.
It was a bow and not a high level one and I'm pretty close to scrapping it since I'm pretty sure I'll get more mileage out of the orbs than having a 5L bow collecting dust in my chest, but still, I was super-excited. |

I had a 6l necro silks drop a while back in a museum map, was pretty stoked when I got it. Gratz on yours.

Grats, OP.
Just to let you know how rare these are. I play a lot, I don't trade so there's no real down time from constant end game beastie slaying. I currently have over 5k hours since OB 23rd Jan, pretty much constantly killing. At around 1k hours I dropped a white 6L Glorious plate. Several Tabula Rasas aside, the only other one I had dropped was a white General's, about 2 weeks ago. 5 Links? literally hundreds. Casually casual.
