100 IIQ 400 IIR? Rly? How?


I've seen guys braging about high IIR/Q values on some parties, how is it calculated? Group bonus? map bonus?

I'm asking because I've made (after 5-6 normal characters) my first MF totem character with best MF items I could think of..

And my IIR/Q bonus is around 40/150. So what's the trick?

also i dont think there is much difference between someone at 300 iir and 450

Yeah I agree. Every good unique I've gotten was with a witch in HC that had 200-250 max, with no quantity. To OP, I used only these, with IIR gem:


I found, in a few days, a BoR, Mon'Tregul's Grasp, Astramentis, and Lioneye's Glare. I've had characters with dual Andvarius and IIQ gems, etc and never even came close to the amount I found with simply 220ish IIR or whatever it was. So, while it may help to have it, it all comes down to RNG. As long as you have uniques dropping, eventually you may get something good.

You'd be better off having good clear speed and survivability, and a decent amount of MF, rather than focusing only on MF. At least from my personal experience (which is of course only one person's experience, so take it as you will).

when people quote their IIR/IIQ they just quote their max potential, so take it with a grain of salt. Here let me add some of my IIQ/IIR pieces to yours so you can see (you'd probably have to drop your belt for a resist belt to run such an awful amulet)

IIQ

43 + 25 + 13 + 15 + your 40 = 136

IIR

37 + 67 + 59 + 33 + your 150 = 346

People include the MF flask when they give numbers.

In domination where there is no quantity except uniques I use these items -

Don't forget that Divination Distillate's ir/iq bonus gets buffed from the 3x 10% Flask Effect nodes in Witch starting area.
