Well considering PoE rares are vastly only vendor material, why not have them still drop rares? It's not as if the RNG will drop soooo many uber yellows that it will change the economy.

Because people will again flood the market with chaos by rushing past the mobs, finding the chest and doing the unid rare chaos vendor recipe. Its what they did originally, and there were so many chaos at one point that they were actually less valuable than alchs.

Don't expect large chests to have anything in this trade 2 win game.
