Dungeon siege 3 DEMO
I just tried out the demo... I played through to the end of the first quest before realizing that I had no interest in continuing to play. The whole game screams "console port". It in no way continues the tradition of the previous Dungeon Siege games. However, it's not a completely terrible game. I often see people here being far too hostile to developments and innovations.

" Its just bad in that it was called DS3 when its not or at least not in spirit. Its actually more different from the series than Diablo,Titan quest and Sacred are from each other. |

I have to say--- DS3 is making quite an innovative turn in console gaming. Hopefully this brings more isometric top down games to the xbox and playstation. If DS3 is any where near as fast paced as diablo 2 i will be pleased...immensely. Long have i waited for the day when loot grubbing, crowd murdering action came to the consoles. STOP--worrying about ports, play the game how it was designed to be played... OR dont play it at alL :D

That happened awhile ago with Baldur's Gate for the PS2 there are others as well.
Yes good sir, I enjoy slaying mythical creatures.

" Maybe 90 seconds. It just doesn't feel good. It's really a bad game .. |

Baldurs gate for the PS was terrible. I think developers have yet to create a formula which fits the hack n slash genre while also playing nicely on console. I dont personally plan on buying DS3, but I do admire the imagination and creative planning that goes into such projects.
The one who does not create doubts those that do. |

I didn't mind the demo, but it wasn't anything special either. DS2 made me feel like there was always a ton of things to do in the game world. The demo felt very linear, but that may have been because it was just a demo. The interface was extremely clunky, and I'm getting tired of list-based inventories.
I'm wondering when demos stopped giving players a full chunk of the game? Demos have stopped being an effective way of determining the quality of the full game, as developers have started cutting features from the demos. In many cases, they've even created the demo using content that doesn't make it into the final product. |

" That game was awesome, not to mention the fact it sold a load of copies. Yes good sir, I enjoy slaying mythical creatures.

lol you guys give a game half a minute and a minute and a half to impress you.
I can see you guys are professional game critics. |

" Yeah I would say I have pretty high standards but I like quality games and can usually tell within a small space of time if a game is worth playing or not. Since diablo 2 and wow, I havn't found any games that ive played as much (havn't played cata, but kinda don't want to pay $25 a month to wait a week for resets). The only games that look promising this year for me are PoE, Guildwars 2 and obviously d3 which I will be making all 7 billion skill builds lol I am unsure if I like Grimdawn or not, what do you guys think of the inventory screen and video? http://www.grimdawn.com/screenshots/2011-05-13_inventory01_lrg.jpg http://www.grimdawn.com/media_videos.php looks exactly like TQ which I guess you would expect but seems boring. Can't seem to put my finger on it, but I think it's like "I'd rather play d3" |
