Best type of melee weapon for Shadow?

I'm working on a melee/evasion/crit build and am debating going swords, daggers, or claws. What weapon works best with the skills accessible to shadow? I'm running swords right now and am at a point where I need to make a decision. Thanks.

Depends on what you want, life steal on claws, crit from daggers and whatever swords give, though personally i chose daggers because I prefer crit and all the damage nodes for daggers for shadows that you can reach makes them a better choice in my opinion

To me there is no option.

Swords

Daggers and claws are cool, but they suffer when trying to do AoE.
My suggestion to you is to start a Shadow and put few points into weapon specific nodes, just get survivability and crit, and wait for the new AoE option for claws that is supposed to be coming "soon".


Edit: For my Shadow, I'm taking no weapon specific nodes, and will switch to claws when the new AoE arrives.
