Make Enemies More Visible/Stand Out More, and Players Easier to Spot

I'm loving this game so far, but one of my biggest complaints is that the enemies don't stand out enough. I'm playing with a group of 4+ friends, some of us with summoned minions, and half the time I have trouble differentiating between my friends and groups of enemies. The enemies also do not stand out enough from the backgrounds/terrain because of too many similar colors which gives me trouble. Also, sometimes I won't even realize when a special enemy is near until I happen to mouse over that specific enemy.

Some suggestions:
1) Add an option to display names above other players' heads (and potentially a player's minions). It would help me better keep track of my friends and to tell apart friend from enemy quickly.

2) Add something to enemies to make it easy to spot special enemies without having to cursor over them. Give them a glow effect, put a colored indicator above their head or at their feet, or anything so I can quickly spot any enemy that isn't just a regular enemy.

3) Already suggested elsewhere, but floating combat text (as a toggle-able option) would go a long way to help make the enemies stand out some as well because I would be getting more feedback from attacking.

4) Add an option to put health bars over enemies' heads. Not my favorite, but it is definitely an effective way to track what's going on at all times.

In general, anything to make the enemies stand out would be great. These are just a few quick ideas I had that might help a player such as myself to better keep track of what is going on at all times.

Agree.
I would like this as well. Things seem to get a bit cluttered without any way to determine enemy/ally. An outline of red or blue/green would probably be sufficient.
Keep up the good work!
I definitely agree. I'm playing as a Marauder with two friends, and one is a witch. He has so many zombies and skeletons fighting that I can't tell if I'm hitting anything half the time...
Agreed, I have been having the same issue. Game is great but I think adding some kind of contrast to make the enemies more distinguishable would be a huge improvement.
110% agree

FYI the poster &/or responders may or may not be professional level Q&A testers for big name companies, professional or voluntary

unfortunately legally-binding NDA's will prevent you from ever knowing if this is true or not

however I would heed the suggestions 110% ^.^
Combat becomes a real clusterF when you have 6 people, minions, and then monsters... I have no idea what I'm attacking, so I just spam attacks hoping to get lucky.

Monsters need some kind of aura-ish thing while players need the same thing, but a different color.

...It's also kinda hard to tell when small monsters die.
I completely agree with this; main screen becomes very hard to identify players/monsters.

You should be able to tell someone is a friend/party member at a glance, in town or outside.
I was just about to start this topic. I'm a level 5 witch with only 3 zombies, but it's hard to tell which creatures are enemies and which ones are mine. It's also a bit frustrating when both friendly and enemy creatures' life bars pop up when I mouse over them, so I tend to waste time casting at everything. I don't know if more players further along the beta have this issue, but because I'm a witch, I look pretty similar to the scavenger enemies along the beach. Other than that, I'm really enjoying the beta so far.
This was a little bit better yesterday for me, but I was only playing with 1 other player. I still think all of these things would help, especially some sort of quick display (without mousing over) for special enemies and names above the players' heads.

For those having trouble with this, one thing that helped out a tiny bit was switching to using the mini-map instead of the overlay map. The main screen area got a little less cluttered. It doesn't solve these problems, but it's better than nothing.
