Best Class?

I'm waiting for time to pass for the download (50% through), and I was wondering what is the best class/your guys favorite classes? I'm going to take a vote and whatever class is listed/voted the most I will use for my first class. Thanks :D

I just love the Shadow. He's a bit frail but his voice-work is amazingly good. He can be a decent caster, a able melee build, even a good archer.
Also, he wears pants. He knows how to do it. PS Shadow Priest isn't a class. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between. I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. Last edited by Foreverhappychan#4626 on Jan 23, 2013, 10:24:48 PM

the concept of classes is different in this game. You can pretty much design ANY class ANY way you want. You can have 2h sword wielding witch as well as spellcasting marauder. Only difference is where you start in skill tree(its a BIG difference tho)
so in the end all that really matters is what YOU like and what YOU prefer, there is no fotm class personally? im rolling witch, always played casters first in any game imaginable so theres really no option for me here :D Last edited by species258#5234 on Jan 23, 2013, 10:25:52 PM

Best way to think of classes in this game is where they place you in a starting position to pick up the skill nodes. Your character will be largely (mostly) defined by the skill path you choose, the socketing of your gear and the gemming you do in addition to your support gem selections. It's complex, customizable and it's fun.

I prefer the girl classes honestly. The witch and ranger, not just because they are girls but the caster options are great for them. After those i like the shadow as well. I've never played a duelist or marauder and have only tried the templar a few times.
