Refunding microtransactions

I'm sure I'm not the only one so far who has purchased an item and wants to refund for various reasons that you weren't aware of before.

Company policy so far is you cannot refund any microtransactions for reasoning that too many people just try everything and then refund it which I can see is fair enough. But surely there should be some lenience on the matter.

My suggestion: A refund cap. Similar to another free-to-play game League of Legends which uses almost the exact same system as POE. Every account gets 3 automated refunds, after this you can't refund.

EDIT: Refunding refunds your points, NOT real money.

Bump. Don't give unlimited refunds but at least some way of dealing with accidental store purchases.

Maybe like cap the number of refunds on an account per given number of days... say like 1 a month.

These are the types of posts I like to see. Someone who may be unhappy with an aspect of the game, making a calm and clear post about a legitimate solution. No whining or self-entitled demands. Props to your suggestion, hero. Free bump!

This is amazing post. Please do consider this...I would like to refund few micros, that i found no us on the characters at all. I i only knew, they would start flushing them out so soon and so many =/.

A sad day in Fary's corner, so many new hot micros and so many i have for no use at all :S. At least refund could be half the points of an particular item we bought.

So i could just buy a cosmetic thingy, use it for couple of months and replace it with something else.

That's why, they could limit the refunds on each account you have to a few like 5 for example per account.

They should limit the times you can do it AND the time you can refund an item! Example:

- You can only refund 5 microtransaction items
- You can only refund microtransaction items within 30 days after the purchase

League of Legends has the exact same options and I think it is really a good customer service, because some people don't have so much money, but would like to have a new stash tab instead of a skill effect, or bought the skill effect and then realized right after they don't want to play a character with this skill anymore (and therefore the skill effect would be "wasted" money).

So I give it a +1, but only with the limitations.

This suggestion is a reasonable one.

I mean. I bought the shadow dance. I didn't know, err, that it would be so... err, "happy" looking. HAHA. I'm really only kidding, but I think I'd rather refund and buy stash tabs. ;-P So I don't actually want my money back, just reallocated. :-P

Oh so true. Glad to see positive feedback on this topic. I really want to get rid off some of the cosmetics i don't like, but i can't :P.
