Not receiving email to unlock account

I play on the same account both at home and at work (looks around to see if anyone is reading over his shoulder). So when I want to log in, I have to do the whole enter password, wait for email to unlock account, enter unlock code, re-enter password bit. Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the email with the unlock code to arrive. Today, it hasn't arrived after more than 20 minutes. I sent myself a test email from a different account, one that would cross the US to go from one server to the other, and it took about a minute to show up, so it isn't that my email account is having problems receiving email today.
I've hit the resend email button, then after about 15 minutes hit cancel and started the process again, with no results. Last bumped on Jan 7, 2018, 3:12:17 AM

double check your junk/spam/trash folders and make sure the email isn't being filtered. That is usually the case. In some cases, the provider is blocking the emails for other reasons (Yahoo! is the worst offender on this).
I have never had an issue receiving their emails (or any emails for that matter) on gmail... in addition to that, gmail offers 2-factor authentication which keeps my email secured from unauthorized access, thus protecting my account as well. My recommendation would honestly be to change your email attached to Path of Exile to gmail so you get better response times AND better protection. Keep in mind that if you change your email address, a verification email will be sent to the old address, so you'll still have to wait to receive that before the email will ACTUALLY be changed. If you still have issues, you can try sending an email to the support department at the address in the Contact Support thread, but that is very slow recently, and you won't necessarily get an immediate reply back (thus creating more delays). It is indeed Yahoo mail, which is what my ISP (AT&T) has outsourced as their subscriber's email server.
:sigh: I decided the easier thing to do would be to create a new account for this machine vs. my home machine, with the email account not being hosted at Yahoo. |

" HY! i also got the problem! im playing on EU - and my provider blocked the emails! - i think because it contained the word "password" on it - and this could get weared! :P log in on the providers homepage with your account and check there the settings! outlook now received the emails from ggg - and everything works fine now (i hope:P) hope i could help!
