Dual weild with a skill that uses only main hand weapon- slow mainhand/fast offhand?
|
How is attack speed calculated when you dual wield?
If I have a weapon that does 1 aps and an offhand that does 2 aps, do i attack at 1.5 aps * 1.10 for the dual wield bonus? If so, if I have a skill that takes the damage from my main hand weapon, would that skill attack using only my main hand damage at the 1.5*1.10 aps? | |

I keep looking but cant find an answer :/

I am fairly sure that a skill that uses your main hand weapon only still takes the attack speed bonus of dual-wielding (10%) into account but only utilises the attack speed of the weapon attacking.
Only skills that attack at the same time (cleave and dual strike, for example), take both weapons' attack speeds into account. Everything else is calculated as the weapon hits. If you wield a Rapier in one hand, a hammer in the other, and you use default attack, the rapier will still hit much faster than the hammer, but both attack speeds will be increased by 10%. I want to iterate: *fairly sure*. Not entirely. Hope that helps, and if it doesn't, hope someone who knows for sure can take this foot out of my mouth. It tastes nothing like chicken. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

Charan:
My tests were inconclusive. . . Stiletto in one hand and a slower weapon in the other was the same attack speed as 2 Stilettos I pushed it further and put a very slow attack speed weapon along with 1 stiletto and my total speed slowed down a little (0.04) It looks like 1 fast + 1 slow weapon works in some case, but it's unpredictable |
