Most of the time you are looking in the upper and lower part of the screen.
Beause in the upper part is the Moster health and in the lower part you see your mana an health.

Therefor it would be nice if you can change it in the options, where you want to see the Monster health.
At the upper part
over the monster
bouth areas.

Should be an Option
I personally don't mind but its always nice to have the option if possible :D
option.
I reaaally dislike the option option. It's either yes or no. If you leave it as an option it alienates players who don't want it, because they're essentially less effective. By making it a choice you lure people into something that is straight-up worse. Yes they may have a preference but their preference may make them worse off and give advantages to people who want numbers.
Hmmm mabey a parser attached to game that counts the numbers and if u like u can do the maths

so no onscreen numbers popping up parser out of game only

i dont think its a "must" have but some players probly want it. if you guys make it, then it should be done so you can turn it off or on .

or just make so "bosses" show their health

if you can put it off and on then i vote yes
if you cant put it off/on then i vote no.

I feel like it should be a personal option; however, I feel as you do that not allowing this leads to a few things like third party tools and damage benchmarking.

If players can already see their damage and potentially damage per second, knowing creature life exactly can be beneficial, and the impetus for it to be kept secret is significantly diminished.

I think that the display would have to be carefully chosen, but ultimately it should be up to the player if they want to add such distraction to their combat view.
