" it's the "ideal" exchange rate that should be used, but unfortunately there are way to many people that think 1 alch+1 scouring is not = to 1 chaos in the high end it's based on eternal/exalted price that might change , but atm they are 1 exalt :27 chaos , 1 eternal : 2.5 exalted
even if you want to sell currency you should never sell them at this rates:

For a currency exchange table to have any credibility, you'll have to be willing to do any of the indicated trades by the table. Although a small fee to compensate for the wasted time trading may be appropriate.
