Crafting in D2 vs PoE

Not really a good comparison. In the time it took you to find Jah and Ber you could find at least 5-10 exalts and 2-3 eternals.

Go from there.

Actually, they boosted rune drops in whatever patch i don't remember.

Btw, i managed to find ber + sur + 2xohm + runes from ist and below in under a week.
Here in poe with like 1 month of gameplay, i've found 2 exalts - 0 divine - 0 eternal.
There has only been 1 day that RNGesus blessed me, i found 4x 5L items within like 3 hours or so, too bad they all had value of 2-3 chaos....

You have to be trading like Donald Trump just to be able to use exalt/divine/eternal on GEAR without going bankrupt. The game currency is awful for those who are playing solo/self-found, and does not want to spend time on trading when u can have fun in the game.

Spending a bunch of time on trading, is not playing the game. If the average joe wants any decent currency, he sure as hell gotta join Path of Trading.

If you traded in D2 you cheated... at least by proxy. Those runes you traded for were dupes. Thus, you have a different idea as to their worth.

Also... rune words weren't "crafting". Crafting was crafting. Compare it to that. You could run through 100 blue cloves to get a crafted pair that had the mods on it you want... and you had to find those 100 pair. And store them in your tiny chest.

Oh... but you cheated that too (probably).

In short. Quit cheating.

Making your own gear = crafting

Just because runewords are named differently in no way means they are not crafting

Ok... you're wrong. We'll just leave it at that.

Explain to him why hes wrong.

This is d2 crafting, if u did not know.
Runewords are not random like crafting is...(but i do understand your pov on the case^^)

Making enigma is not even close to the same as using an exalt on a pair of gloves in PoE.
Getting dem leet CB gloves on d2 would be some kind of comparison.

Yeah, this game doesn't really have much of mid tier items that are achievable for casual players. I mean, I could go from tal+eth and some life leech rings to set items to mid tier runewords in gear + p.diamonds for sustain and maybe a rare here and there to grind for the godlike gear in Bhaal or pindle runs.

In path of exile it's
- save everything
- buy new shit every 20 levels
- scrape by
- die anyway
- go to forums to complain
- GGG ignores you
- POE defence brigade tells you you're wrong and that your build sucks
- you stop giving a shit
- you go and play diablo 2 again because it's a game, not a second job
- have fun again and wonder why you even left
- remember that you've played every build in D2 twice(sometimes 5 times, hammerdins are fun ^_^) already
- get bored
- get really bored
- watch some house MD, get slightly less bored
- run out of house MD episodes, get really fucking bored again
- make a very long choice on whether to bash your head against the wall or play some POE.
- see blood pouring from your skull and into your eyes
- maybe slightly regret the decision and decide to opt for some POE instead as you kinda need your blood to live
- repeat cycle.
Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right.

Ah3 will be dead in a few months, literally. They announced some time ago that they would remove the auction houses.
This message was delivered by GGG defence force.
The recipe for The Goddess Scorned is pretty much a runeword.

As if path of tradechat is any different.

But its a low level item, and ungodly expensive to craft for a leveling item

I also dont use swords
Descent: Champions gives quite a good glimpse how good/fun crafting could be if you actually got to use the higher orbs more frequently.
Their rarity, however, dictates to save them up and not craft with them, since only the richest players can afford the full palette of crafting.

I'd suggest to drastically increase the drop rate on all higher currencies, I'd say by about 230%.
This would not change the relative value between the unique items, since their prices would just increase by the same relative amount. It would open up crafting to a much larger part of the playerbase.
