Premission to monetzie?

Hey there,

I thought about uploading some different kind of Videos from Path of Exile to Youtube when the Open Beta starts. I saw someone who was allowed to monetize his videos from Path of Exile.
Now i wanted to ask if i can just monetize them when i upload them, or do i need any kind of Premssion from GGG? I dont want my channel to get shut down or something because of breaking a rule, so I ask first.

Thanks.
General practice would be to contact GGG support directly with this kind of inquiry.

Cheers.
GGG - Why you no?
Yeah, might be the better idea.
But i started to ask here, because maybe someone of the GGG-Team can post something offical, so other people having the same question can also get the answer here:)
You mean the standard advertising on youtube ??
"5seconds and you can click it away" or "one long 20sec ad"
Thats not something that can be influenced by GGG, its up to you.

However incase you plan to charge seperately (for ex: 5Eur for a link to a hidden youtubevideo) , that could be something where they can lock you down.

As far as i know, those 5 sec Advertisments are added by the user himself when he is allowed to monetize a video. I am able to monetize my videos, but in order to monetize them you need to get the premssion to do so. There are a few different Game Companys where its generally allowed to monetize videos showing their games when following a few rules, like putting a link to the website of the game in the description, or adding a voice commentary to the video or something.

The Premssion is needed because for each click on the Advertisement by a different user i get like 0,05 - 0,50 cents or something to my Google Adsense Account which can be transfered to my paypal account or somewhere else.

So thats what i am asking for, if its generally allowed, or if i need to contact GGG directly to get a premission?
I don't think you want permission, you want clarification. Does GGG allow monetization or do they not? I don't think they want to handle case-by-case basis youtube stuff.

Ask, although without wanting to seem to heap aspersions on you, common courtesy would dictate you do that anyway :)

Yea thats what i meant to say.
Excuse my bad english, im from germany..:P
Half of the Path of Exile videos on Youtube first page have ads attached to them, ranging from 5 seconds to 3 minutes long. The GGG videos do not have ads but most all the streamers do with the exception of 2.

My beloved pets....
I have tired this with some of my old videos, and only the last recent ones I uploaded failed to get approved for monetizing. No idea what went wrong there.
