Pure STR Templar, or Split Build?
Whenever I get into the game, I'll be trying to make a Templar that plays like the Frost Zealot paladin build from D2. Loved playing as that in D2, good mix of damage/defense/slowing down enemies.

That's a great idea, Derek99.
Cold Snapping Freeze and then shattering them into frozen pieces. =) Another variant would be to include Detonate Dead, Double Strike and a slowing curse in your build. Since a Templar can tank well the mobs are nicely bunched up anyway. Slow them trough cursing, focus on taking one enemy down, detonate him and repeat. =) |

i tried templar with staff and 2-1 str-int.But its not the best. Maybe its my fault, but i get hit too much, and i always have to go back to town to refill the pots :(

i play full str temp
one-hand+shield str templar have enough aoe phis dmg spells, so u need just some mana regen(i prefer regen from draining or gaining from killing blows) for defeating hundreds of mobs also frost enchanse on weapon really helpfull |

The one-handed sword and shield sounds very appealing to me. I like filling the role of a paladin-like class. So I think personally I'll be going towards more strength, and getting a few aoe spells.

I was gonna make a pure STR templar, then i took an arrow in the knee.

Im thinking mostly strength, maybe some int, never know though. Could be better builds.

i've always loved to play hybrid classes, so i'm going for as much of a split build as possible (doesn't matter to me if i dont have the optimal build in DPS-terms)
cant wait to play this guy |
