"The Zeus" Storm Call Build - Any thoughts? *Under Construction*

I'm currently 53 and the following build is very effective so far. I would build differently for a Hardcore league but for Domination it is working fine (2 deaths through act 1 Merci both on Dominus)

I'm playing it as a hybrid life/armor/es for right now, I haven't played one in endgame since my first character, (this is #8 with the rest 78+) so it remains to be seen if survival will work out or not.

Using Storm's Call as my main spell with arc + LL as my secondary/single target. Only 4Led atm so I'm using SC + Inc AoE + light pen + light dmg, and 3Led Arc + LL + light dmg. The light dmg will certainly be replaced once I have some better skill gems and more links.

Plan for SC is Red. Dur + inc AoE + light pen + Conc. effect for 5L, and stick with arc being my leach/reflect skill. (maybe use spark or arc on a totem to help tank?)

I have chosen not to go with crit as the base crit of Storm's call is quite low, and I think it will be much more effective to go raw damage with passives providing the shocks stacks.

Here is my rough plan for lvl 80:

Please poke holes or help improve my plan. I posted it here as there are already a number of other people posting thoughts on Storm's Call builds already.

Looks nice, not far from what I am doing here and I am almost level 40.

I originally thinking of a CI witch build:

However, I'm not sure how good CI is now. I don't really see a lot of CI now a day. (or maybe just me, I'm not sure) So, I also come up with a templar build:

For both build, my idea is to stack up the crit chance, so with 7 power charges and Elemental Proliferation, I'm pretty sure I can shock mobs most of the time.

I pick those reduce mana reserved nodes, because I'm thinking of running "tempest shiled", "clarity", "discipline". As well as "Arctic Armour".

Also, I'm looking at Carcass Jack and Rime Gaze, not sure how well would they fit. But Moonsorrow and Rathpith Globe is for sure to my templar.

And, of course, these are just theory crafting. I haven't had a chance to start any of these builds yet.

Looks good, I am new with this theory crafting, level 40 so far with the build on the topic. Will update with gems & gear once I find the hotspots.

Thanks for sharing.

This build is 100% not viable for nemesis. No offence.

I understand, I play on Domination only so that ain't a problem if I reep a few times during leveling. But otherwise, how do you guys see the build, is it end-game viable with the correct items on Domination?

Well, 300% crit chance is still only 12 % for storm call. I don't think it's worth it going crit, I would maybe just grab more defenses, you barely have any life, armor, or ES.
To all the people picking STATIC BLOWS, there is another node right under it that gives another 10% chance to shock.

Sorry for the bold caps, but i saw several people not take it and i figured i make it more obvious.
