I agree that a zoom in/out feature would be nice. The fixed camera angle was always one of the things I disliked about Diablo so I would definitely like the option to change it. I don't really care that much about character viewing, but I understand that quite a few people like that sort of thing.
Yeah the character models, enviroment and monsters all look so good, it seems a shame to be able to view them from different angles.

Of course I don't know what effect this might have on the stability of the engine, but I like the idea a lot of being able to at least zoom and/or rotate the camera.

Beta manifesto doesn't address being able to see your character, fully decked out, at the character select screen. Yes, it does discuss camera view distance, but the gist of the OP was that you don't ever get to see your character fully.

When you login, you can only see the starter characters standing in the back of the ship. If you want to load an existing character, you select from the menu. In neither of those circumstances do you get to see your character in their current equipment.

It would be nice to be able to see them from the character select screen fully loaded with your current gear. It is something I've gotten used to with games in the last 10 years or so - being able to appreciate my character.

It feels nice to be able to see the product of the endless adventure for loot from a frontal angle instead of isometric.

I do not support moving away from isometric view though. Zooming out would be nice (to about double the current distance), but I love isometric for these types of games.

i would enjoy mouse scroll zoom in-out camera. and also, chars have huge heads. try a little shrinking :) its so unbalanced.
Zoom out would be nice, exactly like when resolution in DII changed from 640x480->800x600. I dont look at my avatar, when i kill enemies, i look where im shooting, so smaller my char and bigger area i can see the better.
And heads arent too big imo. It might look so because of point of view on character or type of helmets used- if there were classical norman helmets, it might look different.

I agree! I would like to see my characters in the select character screen and if a "New Character" is selected, then the gathering in the ship to choose from the various classes seems good. When I start a game, I want to be reminded that I need to pick up a new piece of headgear because the helmet I've got now looks hideous on me! :-)

UPPER RIGHT MAP PLEASE! Game is so beautiful...
What I would like too is a UPPER RIGHT MAP!!! Just like many MMOs and (yes) Diablo 3.

PoE is so beautiful!!! And I end up using the map (even almost transparent) a lot, which hides the awesome graphics a bit and affects gameplay/aesthetics some.
Here since Closed Beta. Never found a Mirror. Still love PoE. :- )
