Is Leap Slam a viable skill at endgame maps?

Leveling a Templar and using LeapSlam and Sweep with Heavy Strike 2hand.
I am only leveling 30 right now, but it seems like a fun build, but I am worried it wont be viable in the endgame maps. From everything I hear that melee doesn't do well in maps.

Anyone try a build kinda like this out?
