Buying granite flasks white, why?

I've been trying to sell granite flasks for an alch each in Nemesis and every time I put it up the trade window the person would cancel and say that they need the flask white. So what's the deal? Aren't they going to transmute it and use alterations to roll desired rolls anyways so why would an already transmuted flask not be acceptable?

Glassblower's Baubles.
Look, man. Video games are hard, okay?
They want them white because you use glassblower's baubles to increase quality and maximize duration. The higher the item rarity, the more baubles it takes to get to 20% quality (whites get 5% per, blues get 2% per, and rare/unique get 1%).
I see, forgot that white items receive more quality and now baubles are much more rarer now, thanks guys.
There is a new recipe for using them on weapons.

They are using them for the recipe...derrrr
Crafting doesn't exist in POE. Gambling does...and the house always wins.

Velocireptile - I LOL'ed. Which made me fart. I wish the office were empty right now :(

This i believe...?

White weapon + Orb of Augmentation + [Type] Flask = Blue weapon with [type] added damage (lowest ilvl tier)
[Type]:
Granite = Physical
Sapphire = Cold
Ruby = Fire
Topaz = Lightning
It also works on blue [and yellow] weapons that already have a [type] added damage mod. It will remove mods of other types when you do it [and turns it blue if it was yellow (and it gets quality? wtf)].
So blue [or yellow] weapon with [type] added damage + Orb of Augmentation + [Type] Flask = Blue weapon with the next itemlevel tier added damage.
Wow I wasn't even aware of this new recipe, thanks for sharing!
