Option to Turn Off Skill Animations?

I lag badly in large groups from few skills. Example: Rain of Arrow or lightning arrow on totem. there are more but i naming them all wont achieve nothing.


This game needs an option to turn off skill animation for people like me that play on low end spec PC. I don't have any problem at all when i use the skills when i am alone.

Love the game but playing with 2-5 FPS is never fun.

What can i do if i still want to play this game? is it possible to change/edit the skill animation files to blank files so on my pc when they are casted i see nothing?

Is something like this possible?

It sounds like you'd like the option to have party related effects disabled and only display your own to cut down on what your computer has to cope with? Seems reasonable to me. It might make PvP quite a nightmare, but if you aren't doing that, I don't see the issue.
Of course, I have no idea how hard that'd be for GGG to implement.

I actually think he wants to disable his own skill effects to not lag in situations requireing him to spam those skills.

I want to do exactly what you described. To see my own skills at all times but have the option to turn other players skill off in group play.

Also i was wondering if it is possible to remove all skill animations on my side (by changing files around) if GGG couldn't implement the system above. since i love the game and i want to play it but i have to find a temporary fix for this and i don't mind sacrificing bit of eye-candy for it.

In all honestly i get like 2-5 FPS in group play 60+maps and that is the main way of leveling after 60. If i do the same zone alone with the skills of my own i never drop below 50 FPS.

Can't play in 6 ppl party, I don't have any problems in d3 with the gorgeous graphics and in this game fps drop to 10 when 6 ppl start shooting.

If you try to search the forum, you'll find posts by Chris outlining some OB priorities. Optimizing graphics and attempting to reduce desync issues were planned to be addressed after server stability.

Perhaps it is time to upgrade your computer so you can game?

that's good. meanwhile looking for a pre-solution for this, even if that means to remove the skills animation from the game files, if some1 can tell me how I'd appreciate it.

I imagine that would be difficult. Maybe you can restrict yourself to smaller parties until it is addressed?
