Orb of chancing to try to be rich.

Actually, IMO the best use of chance orbs are on Onyx Amulets, Gold Rings, and Sapphire Rings ilvl 60+. Why is this? Well, first of all, all of these items have uniques that are relatively valuable (as in, multiple exalts). Onyx with Astramentis, Gold with Andvarius, and Sapphire with dream fragments. Yes, you might not win a lottery by chancing these huge exalt items, but the very important thing for these items is that the rares can actually be very sellable (relative to a rare chest piece, in my experience). Then, on top of that you can combine them with other rare items to make a complete set to finish the chaos recipe. Obviously you don't want to do this with scours, because that's too much, but it's definitely worth picking these items up while playing and chancing them since there's little loss in my experience.

dont use scourings unless its something you need specifically. chances drop far more often than scouring and your losing currency if you do that. for me, i'd like shavs. I chance every occult vestments that drops (minimal IIR) and i'm still picking up 2-3 times more chances than vestments, and i run 100% on maps. IDK if the new koams is popular at all with the life nerf, but pick a couple items and just chance them as you find them. I carry a stack of chance orbs and do it as i go, throwing out the magical gears and taking the rares back to NPC/chaos. |
