Limited ID is a powerful anti-bot tool.
If you give the bots a way to identify every single thing they find their alt farming supply (and thus the jewels and fuses that vendors will buy alts from) will go through the roof.

There are multiple reasons why you don't want to identify items. A set of unidentified rares vendors for 2 chaos, identifying any of them only gives you 1.
I know. I do that. But until you drop the right jewelery sometimes 2-3 runs pass by and you ID all crap that drops.

I always pick up small white items to vendor for scroll scraps.
With a new character I have a stack of 40 at least by the end of Act 1 (including scrolls I found).
I learned my lessen the first time I ran out, you learned yours now.
As i told in the OP, i could turn in my Transmutes to get 1200 ID scrolls and still have enough transmutes left for whatever i may need them endgame.
Its just a drag imho.

Huh. Never knew you could sell a stack of transmutes for four stacks of wisdoms. That's pretty helpful and a much better way to spend my portal scrolls than going the long road for alts.
