Point Blank and projectile speed

Is the point blank mechanic affected by faster/slower projeciles? Will the distance of the damage boost be larger with faster or slower projectiles? Or are the distances always the same?

projectile attacks are not really affected by projectile speed anyway ( or it's not really visible ) imho so doesnt change anything for PB.

They are affected by projectile speed, just that the base speed is quite high, so you don't notice when they get even faster.

However, Point Blank is based on distance, not time, so projectile speed won't affect how close you need to be to do bonus damage.
Okay thanks :D

It may effect spectral throw because point blank is based on distance travelled by projectile. That's why ST get damage penalty when it returns to you. Slower projectiles should shorten distance and therefore increase returning damage.

But it's only case when projectile speed interact with point blank.
point blank works on distance travelled not on time it took to travel
Causing the issue with the returning Spectral throw doing less damage than the leaving one.

Ergo: FasterProjectile does influence PointBlank in general if it causes the projectiles to travel farther, EK and ST for example. But the radius for effectiveness stays the same

EK is spell, so it doesn't work with point blank.

Projectile Speed affects the distance projectiles can travel and still deal effective damage, so if Point Blank is based on a percentage of effective damage distance then Point Blank absolutely *would* have improved range with additional projectile speed. I however don't know if Point Blank is based on a percentage of the effective damage distance or a flat distance (i would suspect the former though).

EK is a physical projectile Spell according to the skill gem description and everything that impacts spell dmg, projectile damage and physical damage (not MELEE physical damage) influences it.

This is a horrible thread and full of misinformation.

Here are some things that are actually true:

1) Point Blank only works on attacks, not spells. It says projectile attacks. It does not work on EK.

2) Point Blank damage multiplier is based on flat distance travelled. It has nothing to do with the total distance that the projectile will travel, or anything weird like that. Slower projectiles will mean that your projectiles stay in the high dmg range for longer, because they take more time to travel the same distance.
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:
